The Cancer and Blood Disorders Treatment Center is located in Waldorf, Maryland and serves the entire southern Maryland region. Dr. Meelu and the caring staff at the facility aim to provide comprehensive care and treatment to those diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. With a focus on their patients, they have refined their treatment process to not only offer excellent medical treatment inside the facility but ongoing support outside of treatment.

Dr. Meelu has over 20 years of experience working as a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist. He completed a three-year internal medicine residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate, Elmhurst Hospital Center, followed by three years of Medical Oncology and Hematology training at Winthrop University Hospital. Since its establishment, the practice has continued to grow and Dr. Meelu felt that the office space was inadequate for what he and the staff needed to ensure the best possible care and comfort for their patients. His goal was to not only add square footage but to have a modern office with a serene and comforting environment.

He found an opportunity to purchase commercial real estate to move his practice into and started looking at financing options. In his research, he determined that an SBA loan would be a great option to pursue. Through a referral, he was put in contact with our Business Development Officer, Jeanne Keller. Jeanne was able to structure an SBA 7(a) loan that not only covered the financing for the purchase but allowed Dr. Meelu to renovate the building.

Dr. Meelu had this to say about his experience partnering with Jeanne Keller and the team at FNB Small Business Finance:

Jeanne was very professional and knowledgeable. Throughout the process, she did everything she could to ensure things were moving forward appropriately. I would definitely recommend any business owner to reach out to Jeanne and the team at FNB Small Business Finance.

We wish Dr. Meelu all the success as he continues to grow the practice! It was an honor working with him and helping him continue his mission.
