In the heart of West Ashley, a neighborhood of Charleston, South Carolina, sits White Key Studios. White Key Studios is a music school that provides lessons and recording space for its students. As a full-service music school with 10 teaching rooms and 19 teachers, they can offer lessons for any type of musical instrument, produce demos, and provide access to their recording studio as well as many other service offerings. When you come to White Key Studios, you can expect an inviting and encouraging environment that is set up to mentor and help young musicians.

Ryan White, owner of White Key Studios, is a former touring and recording artist from California. As his family began to grow, Ryan took a step back from touring and went into food management and eventually into managing a music school. This job helped him find his passion of not only being in the music industry but helping others grow their talents.

Ryan and his wife decided to take the leap and find a location where they could open their own music school. Charleston was a perfect fit, so they moved cross-country and started renting the location they would eventually buy with an SBA loan. When they were ready to transition from leasing the space to buying it, they reached out to FNB. Heidi Finniff recommended that they pursue an SBA loan and put Ryan in contact with our experienced SBA Business Development Officer, Michael Byers. Michael was able to structure an SBA 7(a) loan that met the needs of this real estate purchase.

Ryan had this to say about his experience working with Michael Byers and FNB Small Business Finance:

Michael streamlined the SBA loan process for us! There is a lot that goes into achieving an SBA loan, but Michael was always right there. He and the team at FNB Small Business Finance did an amazing job and made sure my wife and I had a positive experience. I would absolutely recommend Michael and the entire SBA team at FNB Small Business Finance!

We look forward to watching White Key Studios continue to grow and succeed!
