Sam Morgan, franchise owner of Weed Man, started in the lawn care business when he was in middle school, eventually scaling to a full-service landscaping, irrigation and maintenance company. While attending college, he continued to grow the business and service offerings. While maintaining this business, in 2001, Sam decided to start a franchise, which became the Weed Man of Wilmington. In 2004, Sam and his wife, Brandi, decided to sell their original landscaping business, so they could focus and grow the Weed Man franchise. Since making this transition, they now have grown the franchise and have five territories throughout North Carolina. This business growth has led to a need for additional building space, so they decided to build! They reached out to their contact at FNB, Reggie Gaither, who introduced them to our experienced SBA Business Development Officer, Mark Moreno.
