Sushi at the Park is an extension and evolution of a family of restaurants with an appreciation and expectation for quality food. The original idea was to combine sushi and Thai cuisines – a novelty over 20 years ago – and they have continued to evolve to include a fusion of a variety of Asian fare. For example, the menu has gone from simple, traditional rolls to more creative rolls with all kinds of ingredients. They always strive to push the limits of traditional Asian food and introduce it to all people.

Sushi at the Park owner, Michael Vikitsreth, was a restaurant kid; he's been a part of the business for his entire life. His family started with fast food and transitioned into full-service over the years. He spent a brief time away from the business (becoming a lawyer), but realized his true calling and happiness could be found right back where it all started.

Michael wasn’t actively looking to expand his restaurants, but when the opportunity arose, he and his other business partners couldn’t turn it down. The family opened Spicy 9 restaurant in 2014, and it’s been a hit ever since - still growing to this day. The atmosphere is fast, fun, and friendly, and opening another restaurant in the same mold is both exciting and the next logical step. For the expansion, Michael was put in touch with Michael Byers through their business banker at FNB – Ken Ashby. He is a trusted resource for Michael V. and his family when it comes to financing – so when he recommended Michael Byers, they knew the outcome would be wonderful. Michael Byers helped Michael Vikitsreth and his family to achieve their goal with an SBA 7(a) Business Expansion deal and successful closing.

Michael V. had this to say about working with Michael Byers:

Michael is incredibly friendly and responsive. He stays on top of everything and always goes the extra mile to make sure that we have the smoothest process possible. I don’t ever hesitate to call Michael – he is welcoming and makes us all comfortable, and is always straightforward with information. The SBA loan process requires a lot of information, which is understandable. The process can be tedious, particularly with the timing, but as long as we have SBA loan officers like Michael, who are on top of the game and who are on our team, we will always get to the finish line. I would absolutely recommend Michael and his team to others looking to buy, start, or expand their business.

Sushi at the Park is scheduled to open later this year. We look forward to the success of this restaurant and Spicy 9 for many years to come! /p>
