Jason Sakeley, the new owner of Hyett Refrigeration, is no stranger to the HVAC industry. When he was 18, Jason entered a state HVAC apprenticeship program and was out in the field for years as a service technician before transitioning to HVAC sales as an account executive. Eventually, Jason decided he wanted to become a small business owner and began looking at businesses to acquire. Once he saw a listing for Hyett Refrigeration, he knew it was the perfect fit! Not only did he have experience on running the administrative and technical sides of an HVAC business, the company also met his revenue and profitability needs. After meeting with the owner to acquire the business, Jason began to look for long-term financing.
Jason was originally introduced to Brendan McMoran, one of our experienced Business Development Officers, when he looked at financing for purchasing another HVAC company. When he decided against that company and went for Hyett Refrigeration instead, he remembered Brendan and reached back out to him. Brendan took the time to learn about the business and what Jason was looking for in an SBA loan. Ultimately, Brendan was able to structure an SBA 7(a) loan and Express Line of Credit that met Jason’s downpayment needs and provided him with working capital to maintain cashflow in the business.
