Zach Burick started with Duggins Welding in 2013 when he was still in college. He started in the field and quickly moved into the office as an estimator. As he continued to take on more responsibility, he had a desire to take over the company. In May of 2020, Zach and the previous owner decided it would be a great time to start the transition.
He reached out to Ron Buck, the intermediary, to begin the process of acquiring Duggins Welding. They were able to run numbers and eventually were at a point where they needed to proceed with lender options. That is when Ron introduced Zach to Michael Byers, one of our experienced Business Development Officers at FNB Small Business Finance. Michael was able to structure an SBA 7(a) deal that covered the cost of the acquisition.
