Carolina Recreation and Design is a provider of commercial recreational products for businesses and non-profits, such as sports complexes, pools, and playgrounds located in Mooresville, North Carolina. As a full-service provider to their four territories – Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee – they provide products such as outdoor shelters and amenities, splash pads, playgrounds, commercial shading, and much more. Originally started in 2012, they have years of experience working with clients to design and build their dream structures. Through this experience, they are able to be knowledgeable in all things related to recreational products, ultimately delivering the best product to their client.
As a serial entrepreneur, Anthony Bouse has decades of experience operating small businesses. From owning a restaurant to a trucking logistics company, he understands what it takes to make a company successful. Partner, Scott Olsen, has over 20 years of project management and construction experience. After selling the trucking logistics company, they were looking for a business that combined the aspects of their experience that they enjoyed the most – construction and the sales side of owning a business. When they found Carolina Recreation and Design, they knew this was the company they wanted to move forward with. As they discussed financing options with their CPA and Attorney, they collectively felt that an SBA loan would be their best option. Having previous connections with FNB, Anthony and Scott were put in contact with our SBA Business Development Officer Michael Byers. Michael was able to structure an SBA loan that met their needs and allowed them to purchase Carolina Recreation and Design in 2020.
