B&E Home Care, located in Jacksonville, Florida, provides home care services for the elderly and those who need assistance with the activities of daily living (ADL). The agency supports patients of all care levels, from patients with cognitive diseases, personal care, homemaking, and respite care to those who simply need a companion. They provide private duty services, and are in network with various long-term care insurance companies, Medicaid, and Veterans Affair. As an independent local business, they have a unique ability to connect with their clients through their participation in the community.

Marie Etienne, owner of B&E Home Care, has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. She worked her way up from hosting bake sales as a child to now holding an MBA and owning three businesses, all in an effort to support her children. When she started B&E Home Care, she signed a 3-year contract for a small office and set a goal that she should purchase her own building by the end of the contract. The opportunity finally presented itself, but Marie needed financing for the purchase.

Marie eventually found the right financing partner through a colleague. She attended her colleague’s ribbon cutting and re-grand opening event for a new building that Julia Smith, one of our experienced Business Development Officers, helped her purchase. Julia and Marie connected at the event, and Julia was able to qualify her within 3 days. Ultimately, Julia was able craft a customized SBA 7(a) loan that allowed Marie to purchase a building for her business and provide her with additional working capital and a line of credit.

This is what Marie had to say about her partnership with Julia and the team at FNB Small Business Finance:

Working with Julia was great! She was on point with answering my questions and responding to my emails promptly. She also capitalized on the opportunity to give me the maximum that I was eligible for. I’ve already sent her multiple referrals through my home care business network. Thank you, Julia!

Congratulations to Marie on purchasing commercial real estate for her business! We look forward to seeing her business continue to grow and thrive in the future.
