Avendelle Assisted Living, previously known as The Haven Family Care Homes, is a series of residential senior care communities that opened its doors in 2005. At Avendelle, residents live in a home-like environment where they receive personalized care based on their physical and mental needs. Many of the residents are non-ambulatory or have health issues, such as dementia. The team at Avendelle Assisted Living has many years of experience in the field of senior care and offer many of the same benefits you would find at a large facility, while still personalizing every aspect of care. Since 2005, Douglas Cromwell and his wife have grown the business to 9 locations, with additional franchise locations in North Carolina and other states.
Owner, Douglas Cromwell, has many years of experience not only as a business owner but specifically in the assisted living and mental health industry. With this experience, he has been able to grow his business year over year. Douglas and his wife have a goal of opening 1 – 2 locations each year, so it was a natural progression to move into their 9th facility. Douglas was put in contact with Michael Byers, our experienced Business Development Officer, by his Commercial Banker at FNB.
